Partnership with Mogadishu University Law Faculty
Somali Legal Hub announces a formal partnership with Mogadishu University to provide internship opportunities and mentorship for law students.
Somali Legal Hub is pleased to announce the signing of a formal Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Law at Mogadishu University, establishing a structured partnership for legal education and professional development.
Under this partnership, Mogadishu University law students in their third and fourth years will have the opportunity to complete supervised internships at Somali Legal Hub. Interns will gain hands-on experience in legal consultation, document drafting, court observation, and client case management.
The partnership also includes a mentorship program in which SLH senior lawyers will visit the university on a monthly basis to deliver guest lectures, conduct mock trials, and provide career guidance to students.
"We are committed to building the next generation of Somali legal professionals," said the Director of Somali Legal Hub. "This partnership with Mogadishu University is a major step toward that goal. By bridging classroom learning and real legal practice, we help students enter the profession fully prepared."
The Faculty Dean of Law at Mogadishu University expressed equal enthusiasm: "This collaboration gives our students something no textbook can provide — real experience. We are grateful to Somali Legal Hub for investing in the future of Somalia's legal system."
The first cohort of student interns is expected to begin in September 2025. Applications will open through the university's Faculty of Law office.
