Somali Legal Hub officially inaugurated its dedicated Arbitration and Mediation Center on January 15, 2025, marking a significant milestone in the organization's mission to provide accessible and efficient justice services in Somalia.

The new center is equipped with private mediation rooms, a formal arbitration hearing chamber, and a case management system that allows parties to track the status of their dispute proceedings in real time.

The Arbitration and Mediation Center will handle a wide range of disputes including commercial and business conflicts, real estate and property disputes, employment matters, family financial disagreements, and NGO/institutional conflicts.

"Somalia's court system is under enormous pressure," said the Director of SLH. "Many disputes that do not need to go through the formal court system are clogging the courts and causing years-long delays for litigants. Our Arbitration Center offers a faster, cheaper, and confidential alternative that produces binding, enforceable outcomes."

The center operates under internationally recognized arbitration standards, with proceedings available in Somali, Arabic, and English. Parties can initiate arbitration or mediation by contacting our office or submitting a request through the client portal.

SLH is also offering a 50% fee reduction for small businesses and individuals with annual income below a set threshold, ensuring that cost is never a barrier to accessing dispute resolution services.
